PacketLogic is a state-of-the-art deep packet inspection (DPI) solution that offers an extensive feature-richness in the software modules LiveView, Filtering, Traffic Shaping, Statistics and WebStatistics. The PacketLogic hardware platforms offer a range of configurations from the entry-level 4 Mbps PL5600 through PL7600 and PL7620 up to the high-end 80 Gbps PL10000, to serve the most complex to simple networks with the same robust functionality.

Completing the product suite is the PL1200 Statistics server, which aggregates traffic data for further analyzes. PacketLogic provides unparalleled accuracy in network traffic identification by leveraging DRDL™ (Datastream Recognition Definition Language). DRDL has more than 800 signatures that facilitate a broad range of criteria like header information, actual payload, bi-directional traffic information and the characteristics of a handshake. All the information provided by DRDL is presented in real-time.

Recently released, Version 12 of the PacketLogic firmware incorporates all the functionality in version 11. On top of that, version 12 introduces a unique and pertinent support of asymmetric traffic (Flow Sync and Queue Sync). The low overhead of administrative traffic makes Flow and Queue Sync feasible even for large networks. Version 12 also introduces the new PacketLogic Statistics Daemon (PLSD) that makes Statistics scalable to millions of customers through a hierarchical structure, while still giving instant response to queries.
